Meet Dr. L. Warren West

Dr. L. Warren West is a native Virginian. He received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from Virginia Wesleyan College. Following graduate school in physiology at Old Dominion University, he attended Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry on an Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship from the United States Navy. Upon graduation, he entered an internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Following operational tours on sea and land, he completed his Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Naval Hospital of Great Lakes, Il. After another two years at sea, his service to his country was completed, and he entered private practice.
Dr. West has 21 years of experience practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is on staff at Sentara Williamsburg Community Hospital and an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Dr. West has practiced and lived in the Williamsburg area since 1992 with his wife, Deena. They have three sons, Nicholas, Christopher and Parker.
