John E. Truitt, D.D.S.

Dr. Truitt is a native Virginian, born and raised in Virginia Beach. He graduated from Virginia Tech with honors in 1999. He then graduated with honors from Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Dentistry in 2003. Dr. Truitt completed his four year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency from VCU in 2008. He entered private practice in 2008 and started with our practice in 2011. Dr. Truitt is Board Certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Truitt's specially interests are third molar surgery, dentoalveolar surgery and outpatient general anesthesia. Dr. Truitt is on active staff at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. Outside of the practice, Dr. Truitt enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife Jenny have two sons, Jackson and Jacob. He enjoys outdoor activities including surfing and is a competitive sporting clays shooter.
